With this visa, you can:

How It Works
You can include eligible family members in your application for an extra cost per person. Additional family members that are 18 years old or older must have a level of functional English, or there will be an extra charge of $4890 per person. This charge is known as the second instalment, and will be refunded if the visa is not granted.

Duration
This is a permanent visa however there are conditions. For the first 5 years after your visa has been granted, you can travel to and from Australia without restriction. If your desire is to travel beyond the initial 5-year period, the following steps are necessary:
- Submit a successful application for a Resident Return Visa (subclasses 157 and 155) to obtain permission for re-entry into Australia as a permanent resident.
- Additionally, it is worth considering the option of acquiring Australian citizenship. By becoming an Australian citizen, you eliminate the need for a visa when entering Australia. It is important to note that you will still be required to apply for an Australian passport, which you will utilize for exiting and re-entering Australia.
In the event that you depart Australia after the expiration date of your travel facility without obtaining another valid travel facility through a permanent visa, such as a Resident Return Visa, it will not be possible to re-enter Australia as a permanent resident.
Eligibility
You must be in Australia when you submit the application for this visa. You must also be the primary holder of a visa in any of the following visa subclasses:
- Business Owner (Provisional) visa (subclass 160)
- Senior Executive (Provisional) visa (subclass 161)
- Investor (Provisional) visa (subclass 162)
- State/Territory Sponsored Business Owner (Provisional) visa (subclass 163)
- State/Territory Sponsored Senior Executive (Provisional) visa (subclass 164)
- State/Territory Sponsored Investor (Provisional) visa (subclass 165)
- Hold an ownership interest in one or more actively operating primary businesses in Australia.
- Provide evidence of your ownership interest in each nominated main business, along with its value.
- Your ownership interest or the combined ownership interest of you and your partner must meet at least one of the following criteria within the two-year period:
1) 51% ownership in a business with an annual turnover below AUD 400,000.
2) 30% ownership in a business with an annual turnover of AUD 400,000 or more.
3) 10% ownership in a publicly listed company. - Demonstrate your direct and continuous management role in each main business on a day-to-day basis, even during periods when you are outside of Australia.
- Ensure that each main business meets the requirements to be considered a qualifying business.
- Obtain an Australian Business Number (ABN) for each main business, with a maximum of two ABNs allowed.
- Provide evidence of Business Activity Statements issued by the Australian Taxation Office through the portal process.
