This visa is for you if you:
- Are 18 – 30 years old (from some countries you can be up to 35 years old).
- Want to have an extended holiday in Australia but also need to work here to fund your visit.
- Hold a passport from an eligible country.
- Have not previously held a subclass 462 visa.

How It Works
With this visa, you have the opportunity to engage in short-term work to financially support your holiday. You can also choose to study for a duration of four months, expanding your knowledge and skills during your stay. Additionally, you have the flexibility to travel to and from Australia as frequently as you desire, enabling you to explore multiple destinations within the country. By completing three months of specified work, you become eligible to apply for a second Working Holiday Visa.
Duration
You must enter Australia within 12 months from the day the visa is granted to you, and then it will be valid for 12 months from the day you enter the country. This visa will cease to be valid if you are granted a different visa after you have received this one.
Eligibility
Sufficient financial resources are essential to ensure your well-being during your time in Australia and to facilitate your departure from the country at the conclusion of your visit. Typically, an amount of approximately 5000 AUD is recommended for your initial stay, in addition to the cost of transportation to your onward destination after departing Australia. You cannot include any family members in your visa application or have dependent children with you.

You will be considered to have an adequate understanding of the English language if you satisfy any of the following criteria:
- You are a citizen and possess a valid passport issued by the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, New Zealand, or the Republic of Ireland.
- You are a citizen and hold a valid passport issued by Israel, and you have successfully passed an English Bagrut exam at the level of 3 study units.
- You have successfully completed an approved English language test or assessment that is relevant to this application.
- You have pursued relevant education that demonstrates your competence in the English language
You must be 18-30 years old and have the necessary level of education for the passport that you hold. Some of the following passports also require a letter of recommendation from your government to be eligible for this visa:
1)hold a degree, tertiary graduate certificate, diploma or have completed 2 years of undergraduate university study if you have a passport from any of the following countries:

2)Brazil- completed 2nd year of post-secondary study.
3)Chile – hold a degree, tertiary graduate certificate, diploma or been approved to do a third year of undergraduate university study.
4)Israel – hold a Senior Secondary Certificate of Education and have completed the required military service (unless exempted).
5)Malaysia – hold a degree, tertiary graduate certificate, tertiary graduate diploma or have completed 2 years of undergraduate university study. Letter of recommendation required.
6)Switzerland – completed 2 years of study after compulsory schooling.
7)Thailand – hold a degree, tertiary graduate certificate, diploma. Letter of recommendation required.
8)United States of America – hold a Senior Secondary Certificate of Education or the equivalent of.
9)Vietnam – hold a degree, tertiary graduate certificate, diploma or have completed 2 years of undergraduate university study.
